When a reader unlocks content or a new profile is created in the Contentlockr dashboard, the system checks whether the email address exists in Zeno. If it does, the profile is linked automatically. If there's an active subscription, the profile gets the Subscriber status and the corresponding tags.

In the Contentlockr dashboard, you can configure which tags a subscriber receives for each Zeno subscription type. These tags determine which content someone can access and which marketing is shown. A print subscriber sees different messaging than a trial user.

Contentlockr periodically checks in Zeno the subscription status of all Profiles. If a subscription is no longer active, the profile status changes from Subscriber to Lead and the tags in Contentlockr are updated. When a subscription becomes active in Zeno, the status in Contentlockr automatically changes to Subscriber and the tags are updated accordingly.
